Thundershirt
Have to say we bought this for car journeys and I'd say Darcy has settled considerably when wearing it but on Tuesday night 5th nova she was restless with the noise from the fireworks, put it on her and she was settled all night

Re: Thundershirt
They can work miracles with some dogs. I know they don't work with all of them, but they're worth a try!

Re: Thundershirt
Really good you've found something. Hayley is completely unfussed by fireworks but hates the cars and vomits nearly every time. Unfortunately we've tried everything including thundershirts and nothing works.

Re: Thundershirt
Glad it helped Darcy out bless her I made Charlie a thunder shirt! We didn't anticipate how bad he'd be since Ebony didn't care at all, we used some old leggins, we cut off the thigh bit and cut him some leg holes and a cut a little piece out where his winky is and he was a different dog! He was dribbling, shaking and panting before we put it on (I would've brought one but it was too late!). I wouldn't walk him out in public in it , but it did the trick for in the house (stopped him panting, dribbling and he walked around normally in it too)

I got a Thundershirt for Tommy to try and calm him whilst on lead with other dogs...didn't make one iota of difference. It's now in his box with towels, blankets and toys not likely to see the light of day again.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you Mike. I have heard of so many success stories with using them though, would it be worth another try ?

Maybe I'll try it again when he gets a little older. His anxiety and fear when on lead around some other dogs is getting terrible and I'm struggling to know what to do next. We walked past 3 on lead Huskies the other day and he just flipped, none of the huskies had done anything. I had to cross a fairly busy road just to get him away from them.
