Diesel in her thundershirt
Bought her a Thundershirt - managed to get her into it albeit with a bit of a struggle ! shes never worn a coat of any kind before - but she loves it now
Bit of a naff picture cause it wasnt on her properly !
And one of her about to have a snooze !

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
She likes wearing it now and shes been out in it a few times - im only putting it on her when we go for a walk so soon as I pick it up shes waiting by the front door ! Bit early to say if its worked - but she dosent seem to be as paranoid if u know what I mean - less jumpy but still alert with loud noises outside....I reckon it will take a few weeks tbh - in the meantime her belly stays nice n warm lol

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
its pretty much like an anxiety wrap...take a quick look at their website - explains it really well
http://www.thundershirt.com/HowItWorks/Noise.aspx
Has many uses
Im often asked what we feed Diesel as her coat is really soft and shiny... its nothing special tbh - Salmon oil every day and Wainwright complete puppy food. Bath in Etiderm shampoo every 2 weeks to keep her skin nice and coat soft.

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
I have been thinking of getting one of these for Rocky as he does get stressed out at the fireworks. We now also have very noisey upstairs neighbours ,again, so wondering if it would help for that too. Only thing is he would be in it all day and night. They were hammering in screws at 11.10pm the other night!!! Figure that one out, I can't.

pretty girl in her thundershirt! Yes I am always interested to hear how your dogs go with a thundershirt...
trouble is over here it is that ruddy hot ..day and night..Jethro can't wear his...he is going through alot of rescue remedy drops... but he is just getting so anxious in his old age...Maybe I need to wear the thundershirt!

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
Just got a thundershirt for Densil - mainly to help calm him down when visitors arrive as he tends to jump up and get hyperactive, but also to calm him down when travelling in the car. I ordered the medium size, but it only just about meets in the middle and doesn't look right so thinking of changing to the larger size. Did exactly what they said by putting a treat on the shirt first before putting in on him, but when it is on he rubs himself on the floor and furniture trying to get it off!

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
Jethro isn't very big... he weighs about 19 or 20 kilos.....and he has a large thundershirt. I have tried a medium on him and it seemed so tight and small.. yes I would try the next size up on Densil...maybe he will feel more comfortable in it too.. I know it is suppose to be a snug fit but I would say you need the next size up.........

Re: Diesel in her thundershirt
Thankfully, Loki doesn't have any fears (yet, fingers crossed it stays that way), but I've heard a lot of good things about Thundershirts from various people who tried a lot of other things beforehand. Hope it works for her what do you use it on her for?
