Daisy on RAW - Week 7
First topic message reminder :
So a new week a new thread
Been back to the RAW shop today, the lady was so excited that our first weeks gone well, it was lovely
Anyways, this is the week 2 menu
We continue with the minced chicken carcass and introduce lamb tripe, one day of each for a few days and as long as she's OK on it I can then mix it up a bit or serve both together. One of the sausage packs does 3 meals so it will actually be a day and half of each.
She's had the tripe for tea, ate it fine and not been sick, thank god, would not have fancied clearing that up!
It stinks though, smells like sewage As long as she likes it though!
So far so good....still

Re: Daisy on RAW - Week 7
I think I;m going to get some, do you buy it online?
My shop had sprats, sardines and swordfish, you could buy sardines raw from the fish counter, I've seen them in tesco's

To be honest I don't have a huge freezer so far have just dedicated the biggest drawer to it, just means I won't be able to take advantage of big raw food hauls but we'll manage! I'm also squeamish and vegetarian
Good to hear all is going well for you,
Could you explain how you are working around this problem, anything i have seen online means i need to order big and its not something i can do right now.
I have been wanting to feed my boy raw for so long and tried alittle tho done in the wrong way however deep down i have this strong desire to get him on raw.

Re: Daisy on RAW - Week 7
The shop Broxi is a raw food shop for dogs, we have 2 in sheffield but they are independent shops so these particular ones will not be in Scotland.

Re: Daisy on RAW - Week 7
If you do some research online maybe there are similar shops near by? If not do you have the space for a small chest freezer so you can do the large online orders?
I started with the minces, introducing one meat at a time but now I feed a selection of minces, offal and bones

Re: Daisy on RAW - Week 7
Twice a week. I buy a pack that has two turkey livers in and she had half of one liver each week. Although today I bough buffalo liver for a change! I started giving liver about a month in.

Re: Daisy on RAW - Week 7
Yeah I'm lucky there are two shops that sell raw dog food near me Although I've only used one of them so far, I'd fee like a traitor going to the other one! Took Daisy in with me today for the first time
