Post by Curtis Sat Oct 19 2013, 17:35

Hi, my staffy pup is coming up to 6 months now and his biting seems to be getting worse. When i tell him NO he snaps at me and tries to go for me ive tried ignoring/walking away from him but he jumps on me and starts biting and nipping which hurts now! also tried giving him toys putting them in his month, he just continues at me biting and pulling my clothes then running away from me when i tell him off then comes back for more :/ overall hes lovely! what can i do!!!?

I'm just wondering why it's suddenly got bad again. Have you changed his food and/or routine?

Of the dozen or so fosters I've had, only one was a jumper and biter - all in play but those teeth really made their point. Laughing

After several weeks of failing to stop it by the usual methods, the next time he sunk those fangs into my wrist, I dropped to the floor, yelled ow, ow, ow,, rolled round, writhed, screamed, etc and carried on for about a minute. rolling on the floor

He got the message after that - biting foster dad turns him into a pain-ridden loony. Best not do that again.

He goes out about 3 times a day but only short walks, will more exercise change his behavior?
