'Fly-snapping' at her behind?
Hi all. My Staffy, Karma, has developed a habit that makes it hard to do anything with her. She started the fly-snapping/licking the air almost a year ago (she is almost 2yrs old) and it never really stopped her from being a big mass of energy. However, recently, she has started aiming this snapping towards her tail and behind area. You can't take her on walks anymore because she literally has to sit down to snap at this area every 5 feet. She did have pretty bad fleas a month back, but we have got on top of that and got rid of the problem dog (a friends dog that visited) that was giving them to her. I have also checked/ palpated around her anal area for clogged glands and didn't find anything (found no worms either). It is currently summer. So we haven't ruled out allergies. It's just if it is allergies, it's only affecting her behind. Any suggestions?

sounds like the dogs got into a bit of a habit on walks or at home try distracting them perhaps with a toy. if no improvement you should maybe take the dog to the vets.

Does sound very much a habit to me also. All you can do is distract this behaviour with a toy and some play. How many walks does she have per day?
