Toilet training issue
Jasmine has been doing so well since we got her at 8 weeks. She has a large corner next to the back door which is rough ground with stones on and just weeds really, which we have decided to use as her toilet, until we can make her a more 'permanent' poopy area. It will be in the same place, but we plan to pave it and edge it to make it the loo!
All going brilliantly, she even ran from the back of the garden to the area when playing with the kids to have her poo, and resume game playing!! This is until the last week. I let her out the back door after her nap, and usually she would walk straight to the area, with me saying 'goo wee' which is what I say to her, and do her business quite happily (unless its raining, but thats another story!), but now she goes out the back door, i walk to the area giving the wee command, and she just stands there looking at me. So we do this for a few seconds, and when i move towards her she runs off. I call her back but to no avail. and when i go to her she runs off again, stopping to wee on the grass. I thought this may be a one off, but this is happening all the time now. She wont go on the stones, she just runs off and wee's in front of me on the patio or grass. Its like she is doing it on purpose, honestly lol. I tell her no sharply, and she knows its naughty. The only time she goes on the stones now is if i pick her up and put her on there, then she wees straight away! Its very odd, as she is fine with pooing there still. What am I doing wrong???? Obviously I dont want to have to pick her up to put her on there, as the time will come when she is too big anyway! x

Re: Toilet training issue
The fact that she's waiting until you move towards her, before she runs off, makes it sound like she thinks it's a game. Dogs are very strange like that! Dempsey will often go silly and start playing if we tell him 'no', which could be what's happening here.
You could try going back to basics in regards to the toilet training. If she starts trying to play the game again, don't reinforce it by talking or giving attention.
