long walks???

hi ya peeps just a quick question...my puppy is now 6 months and was wondering if he was now old enough
to go on a decent walk around the woods have been doin the short walks up until now but have a 3 year old staffy who loves a good run..is our 6 month old ready for this physically?? advice appreciated thank you jo & bozo xx

My puppy is 7 months and does 35-40 minutes.

I do let her off lead during is period, but do have to put her back on as she will run and run and doesn't know when to stop.

I would be inclined to leave it a bit longer before doing long walks - what do you class as long? 2-3 hours?

No probably 45-50 just round a local woodland walk but my 3 year old loves it as he can have a good run..since weve had the pup its been 15 - 20 mins twice a day and mainly on a lead...I just worry about over doin it with the puppy as I know it can do there joints in for later life xx

The guide is 5 mins per month of age on lead 2/3 times per day with some of lead play, so long as your pup is able to lay and rest when needed. Hope the helps.
