Bald patch Empty Bald patch

Is it normal that Bruno has a fairly bald neck on the underside? I can't remember if it's been like it since we've had him. Do you think it could be his collar rubbing?

Just got a pic while he's sleeping. It's a bit dark, and the pink bit is a white patch but it has hardly any hair on, just like the rest of his neck.

Darcy is quite bald on her underside neck & she only wears a collar when we go out, but I guess with trying to get Bruno used to it, and needing to wear it, it could rub. I think it's off his collar.

Looks like it to me too, as long as it's not sore and doesn't start to spread I wouldn't worry too much Smile

Jax was full of bald spots when he was Bruno's age (he's now 21 weeks)... particularily on his underside and he also had them on his temples. As he has grown, it seems most of the bald patches have filled out nicely, but his underside is still fairly sparse and the vet assured me it was normal for staffies! Apparently as their immune system develops, they can have periods of hair-loss for no apparent reason and undersides are usually significantly affected by things like harnesses or collars rubbing. Unless he is itching it/bothered by it or it seems inflamed, I wouldn't think it was something to worry much about! Smile
