Frankies Inbreeding Coefficient
I just had a quick look online to see what his Inbreeding Coefficient is. And it's 1%. It doesn't mean anything to me but its reassuring to know.
I use to work at a show kennels (dobermans) and there was a groomer who showed staffies. As I was thinking of getting a pup I found out he was having a litter.
Frankies kc name is etterbern semper fortis.
His dad is Danish blue prince and his mum is etterbern girls on film. I would love to find some if his brothers and sisters but wouldn't know where to start

you should take a bit of time on stamtavler to enter some pedigree inormation in there for both sides and you will eventually hit gold when you get so far back and find lots of other relatives
Just checked myself and mum doesn't exist on there so nobody entered any info on her , name is right by the KC though 16% COI for mum 3% COI or Dad resulting in a 1% COI for Frankie , looks like a few Blue / Blue matings going on Dads side though

Il have to have a look into it thanks. I don't know too much about dad as the chap I got him from had mum. I didn't know about any of these things when I got frankie. I wouldn't change him for the world but I do think people getting pups should know about stuff like this before putting money in people's pockets. Looks like I've got some researching to do!!!

Re: Frankies Inbreeding Coefficient
Learning from (lets call it inexperience rather than mistakes as he is not a mistake ) is what its all about . As I've said many times I bought Tilly naively from a BYB (late August 2010) really not knowing or appreciating the plight of staffs , breeding ethics and the whole shebang and joined the forum after . Which is why when I wanted no 2 took in all of the advice of the forum and researched Tommy as much as I could . Didn't go for something with champion after champion in the lines and ended up with a nice well balanced and healthy little sh1tbag Nah I love him to bits he is so loyal in a naughty wayMandz wrote:Il have to have a look into it thanks. I've been having a little look and entered some info. As you say there is nothing from mums side. I'm thinking its a near on impossible to find his brothers and sisters
