Veggie staff ?
Hey guys,
This is my first topic.
I wondered if any one else has a staff who his red meat intolerant?
Hugo is fed on a fish based diet due to his allergy, this diet does result in him having amazing skin and a very shiny red coat.
I'm just curious if there is any more out there like my pooch? Xx

Hi Louise, darcy has allergies so she's on a fish based grain free diet, she's not red meat intolerant, she too has great shine to her coat

Re: Veggie staff ?
Well I feed raw so no mine aren't veggies.
Another thing is she may be intolerant to the red meat in kibble which is cooked but she is probably fine to eat it raw as it is different

That's true - however it depends on whether you want to chance more stomach upsets trying a raw diet. If you want more info, just say!

Re: Veggie staff ?
When his results came through it was something to do with the proteins in the red meat, he couldn't digest them the way they should. So I'm presuming that the protein would be the same cooked and raw? X

Re: Veggie staff ?
I've heard of it, but to my knowledge I've not met a dog who's had the allergy. His coat does look very shiny in your profile picture!

no it's different when you cook a meat it denatures (changes) the protein so they aren't the same
