Zeus is the exact same, he plays with his boomer ball then gets mad when he realises he can't put his teeth around it.
Just make sure you don't give it in the house, Zeus once flicked the boomer ball up with his nose and then jumped up and hit it with his paws.. it went flying into my beautiful 42" LCD tv.. needless to say, I weren't very happy! Luckily, the TV was fine

Daisy must be the only staffy that won't play with a boomer ball!! Because she can't bite it she's not interested at all !!

My dogs love the spring pull/pole but only on one of them likes the boomer. The spring pull is a great (extra) work out for them.

Re: boomer ball or spring pole?
Wish I had the space/garden for a spring pole as Ledger loves swinging off a tuggy as his agility treat still he does get a good run out with his boomer in the park

Re: boomer ball or spring pole?
no idea about boomer but spring poles are great for getting them tierd but a flirt pole is even better as you interact with the dog. i have a spring pole in the garden and they do play with it but nothing gets them going like a flirt pole (just think big fluffy toy like some cat owners use with there cats) its very good excersise for you both and helps form a bond between you as well. its a bit harder with two dogs lol but i manage it. i would say its okay to loose at it sometimes like you have a choice but in reality you will loose more and more the fitter and sharper they get. only other advice i can give with em is change your tactics often as dogs are great at preempting your next move anyway so last thing you need is them antisipating what your going to do next or you will loose alot and end up trying to get a small fluffy toy out their mouth all the time.

Re: boomer ball or spring pole?
I prefer a boomer ball, as it's interactive and keeps things fresh. Spring poles can be good for building strength and muscle, but it's a very repetitve game for the dog. You do need to be careful how you set it up, as it can cause damage if you do it wrong (if the pole is too high for instance, and the dog has to jump to hang onto it). Boomer balls can be shoved and raced around with, as well as thrown and kicked by the owner.

Re: boomer ball or spring pole?
I have to take the Boomer off Tommy now as he gets too excited about it , scoots it round the garden growling at it then tears a lump out of the grass , moves it a foot , another lump my lawn was bad to start with off the dogs but now it is terrible

Re: boomer ball or spring pole?
As long as you follow the guidelines for a safe spring pole, your dog will love it.
The boomer ball did not work for Bacon. He gets way to hyper and frustrated that he can't put it in his mouth. I've tried multiple times, but he is to crazy/wreckless with it and barks nonstop. It did not seem like he was having fun with it at all. Having said that, I know many dogs here LOVE them.
