Any tips and advice please :)
Hi all, right, im mega over excited, Lilly will be here with us tomorrow:D I really want it to go as smothly as possible. I know its going to be full on hard work. Whats worrying me is what if ken really hates her. Hows the best to introduce them both. Whats the chance of Kenny being aggressive towards her? He does show aggression to other dogs (adult) but never pups. He's been this way since he was attacked. What do you think??? x Thanks in advance

I haven't any concrete advice because I have never done it, Moo wouldn't let another dog in the house! I think as said take them for a small walk if able too and bring them home together. You know what your doing and will be fine.
Can not wait to see some pics and massive good luck

Re: Any tips and advice please :)
We let ours meet on neutral ground and have a little play but Vin was too young to walk then. We then brought them in and let them play in the garden. Roxy waited outside with my OH while I took Vinny in to explore the house - after taking up all beds; toys; bowls etc so that there could be no possessiveness. Because Vin was still young they got to know each other through the crate and baby gates with short supervised plays in the garden.

Neutral place to introduce and then take them both home, hold pupster and let ken sniff her then let them play about! Just regulate play for the first week or so till she's settled in. If she looks like she's trying to get away, put her in her crate for a wee timeout!
Good luck and enjoy your last night of relative peace

Re: Any tips and advice please :)
It's a little hard for me to actually give good advice because we winged it , apart from pre coming home as we got a blankie off the breeder and a blankie from Tilly so they both had each others smells
Tilly came and met him before we brought him home ( making the final selection from the last 2 of the litter)
She came with us when we picked him up , looked absolutely distraught all the way home staring at the door panel and refusing to interact . Then we just let them loose together under supervision , to which Tommy stole Tilly's bed
And she never really got over it

Neutral ground sounds like a good start and not leaving them alone together but I've no real experience of this I'm afraid.
Hope it goes well

Poor Tilly lol , i bet their best of mates now tho:) Yes we are going to crate her, i think thats for the best. I'm stuggling to find some where neutral to introduce them, as she's unable to go out yet, although i have disinfected the whole of the garden, so maybe this could be a good place to start. We're also gona take him for a massive walk before to get rid of some of his energy before we unlease the baby on him lol xxx I'll try and get molly to video the intro, x

Definitely do the big walk stuff , I'm a believer in Kenny (or at least for the moment) has to know that his life isn't changing . Tommy was in our garden with Tilly from day 1 , before his injections as we took him (after deep consultation with friends on here and the breeder) just a few days early (7 weeks and 2 days) for our own reasons but it is only vacated by them and a few birds.
You can always let them explore the garden and put Kenny on a long line so you can drag him in if needed , sure he will be fine
