We are off to vets tomorrow.
Typical, I always get the awkward pup!
Bodhi has retained one of his lower canine baby teeth and the adult tooth has grown in behind it. The baby tooth not even loose so looks like he's going to have to go under and have some dental work done. We already have a wonky top tooth!
Can dogs have braces fit?
Really hoping it's not too bad and his bite wont be affected. There goes the show career!!

Re: We are off to vets tomorrow.
Isn't it always the way? What's wrong with the upper tooth?

Re: We are off to vets tomorrow.
Hi Caryll.
Upper tooth slightly turned to the side and falls behind bottom teeth when mouth closed and as it is lower canine will hit the top gum when fully grown.
Daughter a bit upset she's a young kennel club handler and the dogs are supposed to be 'of show quality' she's still going to take him to ringcraft though and see how he gets on, all good training and socializing.
Bless him.

Re: We are off to vets tomorrow.
If the lower canine is 'instanding' then I'm afraid he'll have no chance in the show ring because judge have been told to clamp down on it. That's partly why I've 'retired' Dempsey from showing, he has an instanding canine & was placed last out of 6 in his last show because of it, even though in other respects he was deserving at least a 3rd place if not higher.
The upper incisor would be classed as a minor fault & although it would be noted, he'd probably still be placed.

Oh well at least he's in good company
Thanks Caryll for the info. x
Will talk to vet tomorrow though they seemed more intent on asking if he was going to be done then they could do both procedures at the same time.
Now off to wiggle a baby canine!!!
