VERY worried staffie owner! :(
I took Harlem out for a walk in the forest and he ran into some grass that was kinda high for him. He came out rubbing his right eye so i flushed it out with water. Then he got completely soaked which i preceded to give a bath at the same thing. He was being well naughty and i was holding on to his collar as he tried to get away, of course hes a little puppy that doesnt like water. Finally he came down and i finished the bath and shortly after i checked his eyes i notice he had a bloodshot eye. I called my vet and she said it looks like a bruised eye. anyone ever seen anything like this before?????! PLz help. Also he attitude or playfulness has not changed abit.

All I can say if you are worried is to take him to a vet to get a professional check over.

It can look worse that it is sometimes but it wouldn't hurt to get some proper advice.. It may be nothing, but do you wanna take the chance with his sight..

I'm a fuss pot when it comes to eyes, so I'd probably take him to the vet tomorrow just to be on the safe side!

Re: VERY worried staffie owner! :(
Don't panic, my boy did exactly the same a few months ago, it is just bruising, it looks horrendous but it is nothing to worry about. I took my boy to the vets and there was nothing they could do, took over a week to completely clear.

TOOK HIM TO THE VET ITS JUST AN EYE BRUISE. He must have ran into the tree when we was runnning the forest. hes fine. doc said it will clear up in a few weeks and gave me some eye drops.

Glad to hear it's nothing serious, I guess it's the dog equivalent of a black eye.
