Toe nail ripped out whilst playing

Could anyone advise how I stop Herbie from licking his paw.....whilst playing he managed to rip a toe nail out, he's on anti biotics & pain killers & we bath in hibiscrub as advised & prescribed by our vet, we also put a baby mit on his foot with surgical tape when going out but as soon as its off he licks & licks & licks, we want the air to get to it to help it heal x

You may need to ask your vet for a buster collar. It isn't ideal, but it would stop him from licking.

A buster collar might be the only way. Some PAHs have them in stock, or you can get the right size from your vets.

I think I have one from when he had his boys bits removed xx

Rocky recently had a cut pad on his foot which was dealt with by the vet they wrap it up with this stuff, it's called VetWrap and is available to buy online, it kind of just clings to itself when it wrapped around the dogs leg/foot. We also got him a doggy boot from Pets At Home:
