Sizes Needed For Boris
Hello Again - I'm full of questions today!!
I'm looking at collars, harnesses etc - All sites for Harnesses say this for sizing:
Small - Jack Russell/Corgi/Terrier (Chest 30 - 60cm)
Medium - Labrador / Border Collie (Chest 60 - 80cm)
Large - G.Dane / Mastiff / Rottweiller (Chest 80cm +)
I'm guessing he's a LARGE in collar because my Spaniels are a Medium but are on nearly the last hole and Boris is obviously stockier than a spaniel - Would you say a LARGE for the harness too?

Re: Sizes Needed For Boris
harness and collar size my boys tend to be at least large size
Obviously my ambull will be larger, but harvey would need a large as he now has about an 80cm girth for his chest
when you can measure him around his girth behind his front legs

Re: Sizes Needed For Boris
Yes, measure him around the girth, just behind his front legs. Choose a harness that is a few centimetres bigger than his girth. So if he's 75cm then choose a harness which measures 60-80cm. But if he's 79cm I'd choose the one that's 80cm+ because you can probably adjust it to fit.

Re: Sizes Needed For Boris
Might be worth waiting until youve collected Boris and go to the likes of Pets at Home so he can try them on Shéara still fits into his small harness on the loosest fitting quite nicely and his medium harness on the tightest.

You have to have a collar when you collect him or they won't let you take him :/ x

Re: Sizes Needed For Boris
A lot of our members favour Ezydog stuff (including me ) and they sell the collars and harnesses at pets at home , they are a little cheaper online but if you bought both you are probably only talking about saving a fiver.
You really need to hold back a little with stuff like this though until you have him with you

The rules are you have to have a tag, collar & lead with you when you collect him x
