Scuffed Pads
Can anyone help after Harry was jumping around yesterday in the garden (which is pebbled with the small garden pebbles) we have looked at his feet this morning and his pads are cut and sore. We feel really bad as he was having a great time jumping and running around and we were playing with him for about half an hour. Is there anything we can do to make them feel better for him or is it a trip to the vet. He is six months old now and such a lovely happy boy we feel so bad.

Re: Scuffed Pads
Try bathing them in salt water and massage a tiny bit of vaseline or sudocrem into them (wait till they're sleepy, less chance of slipping about)
Keep him on grassy areas during walkies as well until they're healed. I cant see what the vets would do to be honest.

Re: Scuffed Pads
Poor boy. the vets will give him a shot of antibiotic and give you some ointment and maybe some pain relief. I would do as kita says. You can also buy some little booties that you can put some cream in and that would keep in the moisture.
As for playing about, if it is a really dry hot day you might want to hose your yard so his pads are not as dry and likely to crack
