Re: Washing pup
You shouldn't really wash them very often, it can cause some issues with their skin, dry it out and etc. I've given Loki one bath, as a puppy, just to get him used to the water, and not since then. Giving her a bath won't be a big deal, but you don't want to do it often.

Re: Washing pup
Ya other than the smell she doesnt need it. Puppies should smell all nice not the way she does.

Re: Washing pup
To be honest, I'd put up with the puppy smell for a while & let her settle in first. It's quite stressful leaving her mum & siblings anyway & to be then dunked in a bath of soapy water might make her very sad!

Re: Washing pup
If you do decide to give her a wash, make sure you let her settle in first. While everything's new and scary, bathing her could cause stress and fear.
It might be worth your time getting a dry shampoo for dogs. You rub it into the fur and towel it off.

Re: Washing pup
If you really wanted use some baby wipes, but to be honest the smell will soon mould into yours

Re: Washing pup
I bathed Logan after a few days home because he really was stinking. He'd obviously rolled in pee and what not. Def was getting worse. But after that I didn't do it for ages.
Do it as little as possible and only when very necessary, they will look and smell a lot better without regular baths

Re: Washing pup
When we got Kuchar we really wanted to give him a bath, because he smelt of patchouli or something similar (he came from a Nepalese home). No offence to his previous home, but he just didn't smell like "ours", or a puppy either. But it soon wore off and he still hasn't been bathed at 17 months old.

Re: Washing pup
When we got Otis we tried not to bath him but we had to dunk him in some warm water to rinse his paws as he danced in his poop in the night!!!
But if you can do try and hold off bathing them for a while and don't do it often as others have said
