Fast eater
Alfie is now 7 months old and growing fast. How ever his eating was getting faster. He has been using an anti gulp bowl that used to work well at first but he still ended up with the hic cups after all 3 meals. Now that has all changed. With his old bowl the slowest he meal was 56 seconds. With his new bowl 25 minutes.
His tail was wagging like mad all the way through it which was good to see and NO hic cups .
He is now fast asleep in his cage so all good.

Re: Fast eater
That bowl is amazing! Where did you get that from if you don't mind me asking?
Otis has a gulp bowl but it's still gone within 2 minutes... We put his food in a kong wobbler or treat ball that usually takes him about 7mins to finish but he is getting better at getting the food out now!! haha

Re: Fast eater
Anti-gulp bowl for the EXTREME eaters . Loki eats quickly usually but sometimes takes his time (still fast though, never more than a minute). He doesn't give himself the hiccups anymore so I just leave him to it.

That looks fantastic. Suki is a moderately fast eater but we feed her more frequently than most people do as well

Re: Fast eater
Wow that looks amazing. Glad you have found sometime that works. We are lucky Pixee eats nice and slow, in fact she will often walk away from her bowl for a few seconds then back for more until she has finished. Now a thought, I should buy one of those for hubby who eats way too fast

Re: Fast eater
That looks awesome!
Maxi finishes her food in about 30 seconds too, I have never noticed any problems due to it though. But i might get one of these anyway just for a bit more challenge, she likes to work for her food!

Re: Fast eater
That looks brilliant, Zeus is a very fast eater too. I've got him the anti gulp bowl from Pets At Home but it doesn't make much difference. It gets to the point where he'll eat so fast, and then wait a few minutes for a burp to come.
Then there's his water, he drinks that ridiculously fast, to the point where I've put a smaller bowl upside down in his actual bowl, so he can only drink from the edges, this has made a big difference!

Re: Fast eater
I have a cheaper solution - we get the same effect by chucking Mia's food across the lawn (when it's dry).
She seems to enjoy the scavenge and it stops her inhaling the whole lot in ten seconds.
