Sore on tail Empty Sore on tail

We recently adopted 3 yr old Dawson, he is a great addition to family and gets on well with Delilah our 4 yr old. Dawson has a bald patch on the tip of his tail that recently broke down. His tail is always onthe go!! Vet said try cream and put him in a collar it healed ok. Recently we have seen blood on the walls but his tail was still intact, I discovered it was now Delilah who has a small bald patch and breakdown, neither dogs are tail chasers, and they get on well so not as a result of them fighting I just wondered if this was common in staffies??

Are they left together alone? Could it be play fighting? Xx

I dont think so, neither of them display signs of tail biting when we are around and their playing is all face and feet nipping, and its only the very tip, both are black with no hair, will take them tothe vet again and see what they say thanks for getting back to me though

to be honest it does sound like the type of injury sustained from tail chasing.
