Play fighting + some pics :)
Hey guys and girls
With all the great weather we have been meeting up with my sister and her springer quite a lot this week.
Bella has just started playing as rough as Rosie (sisters springer) I was just wondering when to break up the fight? How far is too far? they run around chasing each other but when they fight they go mad its great to watch but Bella has just started to play rough with her, They bite each others legs, ears and even started going for the neck. They seem to love the fight, there hasn't been any yelping just loads of play grows. I haven't seen two dogs going mad at each other before so it was a bit of a shock lol.
When they all first met when we got Bella (my sisters and dads springer's) they was so gentle with her but now its all systems go. is there a point where I should break it up? Thanks xx

First of all Bella is gorgeous
Staffs do play rough but if you can see Rosie (or bella) has had enough and is starting to get annoyed, then break it up - you dont want it going to far

Here's a link on body language that should help
http://staffy-bull-terrier.com/dog_body_language
If you feel uncomfortable than it's okay to break it up. As a general rule they grow in height the first year and than in width and muscle the next two years

Bella is gorgeous, love the colouring I think she has a good bit of growing to do yet, she's still very young.
As for when to break it up, read the link jstaff posted, keep an eye on their body language, and if one is getting annoyed or one is getting tired and wants to be left alone, that's when you break it up and let them calm down for a bit

She's becoming one of my forum favourites
And yes just break it up when you feel unhappy with the behaviour, but expect rough play.

Thank you I will. they both seem happy playing I think its just me being over worried Bella's gonna get hurt.
Its even worse when my dad brings his springer along too, Poor bella normally gets left behind though shes not as fast as them yet lol. she also tell's them off if she thinks they are playing too rough, she Barks at them and they stop Lol! shes a little bossy boots
