Poor baby has conjunctivitis (I think)
Poor Hugo has conjunctivitis I think, come home from work today and seen a lump on the side of his eye, seems to have got a little worse this evening.
His eye looks horrible at a certain angle as its all inflamed pink tissue, at first I thought he banged his head, but the constant weeping leads me to think its pink eye.
Booked in at the vets 3:30 tomorrow.

Poor Hugo, it does look as if it's bothering him. Do let us know what the vet says tomorrow, hugs >< to Hugo at least until lovely vet cures it.

If it is conjunctivitis a short course of meds will clear it up so quickly. Let us know how you go tomorrow Xx

Re: Poor baby has conjunctivitis (I think)
Cheers guys.
He sure is feeling sorry for himself, every time we leave the living room he runs upstairs waiting by the bedroom door looking at us to say come on let's go to bed , he sleeps on the landing with the odd night now and then on the bottom of the bed, he thinks he's in the room tonight but he's in for a shock.
Will let you know how he gets on at the vets tomorrow.

Re: Poor baby has conjunctivitis (I think)
Doesn't look like conjunctivitis to me, more like he has hit it and it is irritated. But eyedrops will be prescribed anyway, if the eyeball was hanging out most vets would give them and tell you to wait a week lol

Re: Poor baby has conjunctivitis (I think)
Woke up this morning and his eye looked considerably worse, looked more inflamed and lots of mess in his eye.
Vet said that its not conjunctivitis and said he's banged his eye so prescribed some eye drops and said give him these twice a day and if its still the same in another week or so go back.
Trying to give him the eye drops is a nightmare, he won't stay still no matter what... This evening I had to put the drop on my finger and rub it on the corner of his eyes.

Oh poor Hugo. Getting drops into a dog's eye (like a child's eye) is very difficult as they will naturally squirm away and screw their eyes up. You really need someone to hold Hugo tight as a vice whilst you open the eyelids with your thumb and finger and squirt the drops in quickly. Good luck!

Re: Poor baby has conjunctivitis (I think)
Update:
His eyes is almost back to normal (95%), these last 2 days has seen very quick healing.
I'd say tomorrow it will be back to 100% normal
