My poor baby boy
Hubby took Ty costal walking yesterday (they do it all the time). They got stuck in a militry area and got cut off by the tide and had to walk for miles and miles in the beating rain and wind on really awful terrain. Hubby carried Ty as much as he could but was near collapsing himself. My poor Ty's feet are literally 3 times the size they should be and are weeping, bleeding and pussing everywhere. He can bearly walk Got vets in an hour.......
I dont think there is anything in them i think it was just the sheer amount of walking. I feel so bad for my baby! Hubby feels worse tho as u can imagien. Ill let u all no how we get on at vets x

Carly, That sounds sore just reading it. I'm sure plenty of rest would be in order, easier said than done I know.
Sending big hugs to you all >< >< ><

Re: My poor baby boy
Poor Ty, and poor hubby! Dogs are remarkably resilient & with a bit of rest he'll be right as rain. Must've been really awful for both of them, though.

Re: My poor baby boy
just got back from vets and nothing serious. Vet said it was more a reaction to something than the amount of walking or the terrain......which i thought was a bit odd as he has never reacted to anything before but hey ho im not a vet lol. He was given a strong anti inflamatry injection and is on anti bios for a week. He has to wear a buster collar which will be fun and i have been given a medicated wash to saok his feet in twice a day then back to vets in 5 days. He was weighed at exactly 19kg. He completley embaressed himself as per usual at the vets and wee'ed all over the floor as soon as we got in, cryed and whinned for the whole half hour wait and barked quite nastily at every dog that came in Although he did redeem him self slightly.........
A dog was rushed in as an emergancy before us, it turned out to be a staff but i couldnt see as the vet was carring it through reception all cuddled up in a blanket. The owners (an elderly couple) came out afterwards all red eyed and crying, Ty sat at there feet and howled, it sounded really errie. It turned out there dog had just been pts after a stroke it was a staffy cross and 17 years old!!!!!! They loved ty and were touched by his howl which was nice

They're so sensitive sometimes, even if they are blockheads at others!
Has Ty settled a bit? I should think he's pretty tired.

Re: My poor baby boy
Rocky had a little howl the other night, he had just heard a police siren in the distance, it still puts a shiver up my spine whenever I hear it though, bless him.

Re: My poor baby boy
What a dreadful ordeal for both your OH and Ty. Hope they both recover well. Ty must have tuned in to the old couple's grief. I am sure he is looking forward to a romp with Chaos soon.
