Poor babe.Same has happened today with milly she went up sniffing this pom and it went for her.Milly only wanted to greet it but the nasty thing wanted to kill her.It was a male dog also i didnt think male dogs went for female dogs.

Re: My poor baby :(
If you told this story to the papers it would become "woman walking a Labrador puppy was attacked by a vicious staffy off the lead"
Just goes to show, all dogs can be aggressive and it's isn't staffs that start it!

I have realised that a lot of these small breed dogs are the nasty ones.My milly just wants to greet other dogs she is so friendly she hasnt got a bad bone in her body

Re: My poor baby :(
I was playing with Troy on his long lead today in the park and a male Staffy came running out of nowhere. Troy was hanging from a stick we were playing with so I just scooped under him and held him as I was not sure of the other dogs temperament.
I would of liked them to meet but oh well.

Put it all down to experience, not all dogs will get on with each other just as we dont. Try not to push the issue if they are not friendly they are not friendly leave it at that.

Re: My poor baby :(
Aww hope shes ok, shocks them dont it
My two *touch wood* have never been attacked and touch wood never will! .. they have had a few growls of other dogs mainly smaller ones but you have to think this, a larger bulky dog bouncing upto a littler one if its sudden and not used to it its only natural for that dog to feel threatened, skye feels threatened with large dogs when vinnie isnt with her i have to watch her body language carefully, she has done with a doberman and a GS, she will look to me to say its ok and i make sure the owner says the other dog is ok with it.
I also make a point of Asking if its ok before my two go over to see another dog, sometimes it cant be helped and the other dogs will run up to my two before i have chance to blink lol but 9 times out of 10 as soon as i see another dog my two get reeled in and if they can say hello then they can, i just do it to prevent anything happening.

Yeah no thats fair enough it just shocked me a bit! never seen that happen before i am really careful with her going up to dogs as she's only a puppy and you dont know what those dogs are like with other dogs.
