It's been a rough week :(
Chiquito ate a lego this week .. and a frog, cat poop, his poop and now has eaten his bed. He is also biting like a trooper .. gentle seems to have gone out the window completely and my arms, fingers, legs and clothes have become random chew and tug-o-war toys. He's also taken to growling/snarling at me when I do something he doesn't like (has been in time out a lot for this)
Then tonight at puppy preschool he tried to eat a labradoodle ... and wouldn't let go ... twice ...
Is it normal to have 'bad' weeks like this .. or am I doing something wrong?

Just like Janey said, it's completely normal. Just keep at it and it'll pass.

It's completely normal, everyone with a puppy has gone through it. Stick with the training and try to focus on the good things he does it will get better.

Could be worse. Loki turns one year old in a week and I'm still telling people, "He doesn't mean it, he's just a puppy"

Re: It's been a rough week :(
Puppies - who'd have them? Adorable, messy, destructive, teethy, disobedient, cuddly-wuddly little so-and-so's. I swear I've aged 10 years since we've had Kuchar, but I wouldn't swap him for a gold clock.
In all too short a time, we'll look back at our puppy photos and say "Aah, he was such an adorable little cuddly-wuddly" and forget the traumas.
You're doing nothing wrong Kell! ><

So glad I posted this ... I honestly thought I must have got the food, exercise, training or something wrong and .. I even read the lists of preservatives in his treats in case it was that!
For such a little tiny being he certainly has the capacity to make one feel completely incompetent .. thank you for letting me know that I'm not being as bad of a puppy mummy as I thought ><

Re: It's been a rough week :(
Yeah they sure do make you feel like new mums.. I remember writing a post similar to yours quite a few months back now asking what I was doing wrong But as Lynda said soon enough the puppy stage will just be a memory and photographs and the same as with kids you will wonder what all the fuss was about

Re: It's been a rough week :(
I understand what you are going through!! We are going through something very similar except, its been going on for about 3 weeks..Gwen is now 18.5 weeks old and around 15 weeks it was like everything (training, manners, etc) went out the window!! Don't get me wrong she has had the odd good day during this time..but more bad days than good!! She has been spending a decent amount of time in her crate bc when shes out she is either chewing our furniture or chewing us..she also growls at us whenever we tell her no or do something that she doesnt like..for example: not let her play tug of war with my sweatshirt! I think its due to her teething so you have some hard times ahead but it will all get better with time! I have more patience now than i ever could have imagined before lil miss gwen came into our lives..i love her more than anything in the world though!!! I was so proud when she lost her first tooth the other day im such a proud mommy!!
