Pitbull? Huh?

So I was walking Shéara yesterday afternoon, passed a woman walking some sort of terrier, she kept it close by her side, as did I. My oh mentioned he was friendly and what did we get......

"My dog doesnt like pit bulls, i can see him licking his lips to get to my baby"

I just gave her that 'are you for real' look, i've already had an argument previously this week so i kept my cool.

Stereotypes! Whats wrong with a pitt anyway?! They can look similar, no need to be prejudiced!

I got that once at Pets at Home. Logan and I stood at the door because he has been known to knock things over (and pee on the Bakers stand). A teeny tiny toddler waddled over to him and her Mummy went mad thinking he'd eat her. I said he was fine and she relaxed and Logan just licked the wee girls hands.

Then this moron walked past, looked at him and said "disgusting pitbull".

I didn't say anything right away because I didn't wanna swear in front of the little girl. But after she left I made sure to explain, in my own way, why she was very....wrong.

The only pit bull comment I ever got, I think was actually a compliment of sorts! This teenage lad said 'look at that little pitbull, that's sick!'

Its not like she even looked genuinely scared or concerned about Shéara 'cos she was laughing whilst she said it, her terrier was pulling towards us but there was no way she was going to let her dog socialise.

If I was you next time you go out might be best if you took a muzzle, then if you bump into her you can ge her to put it on before she talks more crrap

Some people . I had someone call duke a pitbull as well he was 9 weeks old at the time... I have met quite a few putbulls too and they have all been very lovely and wanted lots of cuddles.
