Juniper Berry has made some progress at dog classes and definately seems less barky. This mornings stroll however was a bit of a disaster. We are v lucky with Juno berry as she walks beautifully on a lead however: we met a westie and she started barkinging and going (thankfully she doesnt go for dogs I think she litterally just wants to make them go away) anyway unfortunately it pulled me over twice I was akimbo in the road very emabarrassing, however she was very purturbed when she pulled me over and came back but when it moved she started her barking again...

I adoore juniper berry but it is quite testing roll on the behaviourist visit on sunday - no more bruised knees

Oh dear that is no good. All I can really suggest is to keep going with what you've learnt in training. Try to make her focus on you when your walking rather than other dogs.

Often we feel like after progress it's two steps back and it can be disheartening, but with time and work you'll get there. Smile

If she can pull you off your feet I'd say you don't have full control of her. Surprised You need to prepare yourself and stand firm if she is that strong.. You have to think had a dog been off it lead and came over and she reacted the same way, chances are you will be pulled down the street by her. raised eyebrows Try using a jiff lemon filled with water and give her a sharp squirt with it any time she barks, and reward when she ignores..

Logan has a few issues with certain dogs which I meet daily. I have tried numerous things to stop him but he literally hates them and as soon as he see's them he just has to bark and pull. Even though he tends to pull away from the dog rather than towards it.

Today though I had a really good walk, I met two dogs he normally hates. But for a change, I brought a cheap squeaky ball which I bought the other day. As soon as I saw the dog coming I took it out of my pocket and squeaked it.

Logan turned immediately look at me, I made him sit and give him the ball.

He then walked past both dogs without even as much as looking at them. I was thrilled.

Maybe you could try this too. Smile
