So when i let him go he does it elsewhere? I thought we were getting there but its like everything has gone out the window! Straight Face Do i just keep doing what i am and in time he will get the message??? at wits end

Yeah you are on the right track. You just have to be a bit more patient and wait for him to go and then praise heavily when he does. He won't have complete control over his bladder until he is 6 months or so be prepared for a few accidents. Just clean them up without telling him off unless you catch him in the act.

The pooping works the same way. At that age they are too young to have any control. Just keep taking him out after eating, playing and when he wakes up. It's never too early to start training just keep the sessions short 5-10 minutes and always end on a positive note.

Only thing I can add is if you don't already give a treat start, because buddy started to do same so I started giving a treat when he went outside for a wee and it made a difference straight away. Even if he don't need a wee its like he will strain a little 1 out just to get the treat haha.

hi, my little one is 10 weeks old and for the first 2 days we got her we didnt have an accident at all, she even asked to go outside. We thought we had a genius, this last week lots of accidents poop and wee. She doesnt like going out in the rain, so ive started putting her on the lead and staying with her, saying go toilet and giving treats like previously said.

here's hoping for both of us. Your dog looks gorgeous, we wanted to call ours patch but then settled on Tash cause of her hitler moustache
