yay a walk in the sun and no mud
Havent posted much for a while as its pretty hard taking pics with a dog on each arm. managed to get some half decent ones today on a great walk over ivingho beacon and back through some woods. was a great walk in the sun.
As ever my two syncronised rolling on the grass while riley is a bit bemused with them
When I really really need him to pull...he finds something to sniff instead
About half way around and a welcome drinking spot is enjoyed
The stand off with the sheep and her lamb in the distance lasted about 15 seconds before they high tailed it away
And finally coming back in the woods Marleys new found passion for tree climbing.

Wow, didn't realise how big Riley is until I saw the pic of them with the sheep on the other side. Brilliant pics, looks like they had loads of fun and they're all beautiful
I always wanted to ask, how did you come about getting Marley and Laska? It's an unusual mix, was it an accidental mating or was it planned?

Looks like they both had a great time there, is that anywhere near Dunstable Downs ? My hubby and I have been there for walks a few years ago.

As for getting marley and laska its a long long story leading up to getting marley. I spent days before making a call to a dog trainer of all people who had a suprise litter when his sibe got jiggy with a staffy girl. All i he asked for marley was for the costs of bringing the pups up as healthy as posible. I saw every receipt for vets, worming and parents health checks for when he and his gf got them a few years before. Another thing i had to promise was to keep in touch with his progress. I still chat with him now and at times he has been a great help and takes a very active intrest in marleys progress. I found laska with his help as i wantd a similar sized dog with the same energy lvls and with the same kind of parentage. Same deal just to cover costs but this guy looked absolutly knackerd as he was up all night with the pups and with the heating on full in may/june. Tbh i only got laska because of marley and jeeves thinking i was a good dog owner, and then he still grilled me for an hour....

Yes mate is just below the downs, the shot of marley sniffing is walking up the beacon which overlooks the downs. Love it out there, some stunning scenery, when your on top of the beacon you can see the curvature of the earth around you! Amazing.Kathy wrote:Looks like they both had a great time there, is that anywhere near Dunstable Downs ? My hubby and I have been there for walks a few years ago.
