Flaxseed meal - good or bad?

I usually put some flaxseed meal on my yoghurt in the morning, this morning I put some in Maxi's food as well thinking it must be good for her as well. Does anyone know if it is a good idea adding flaxseed meal to her diet?

Yeah I believe it to be fine. although with any supplements wouldn't overly do it.

I eat it my self, but not sure about giving it to our dogs

Yes, it's supposed to be good for them - all the right oils etc, I think.

Immensely good for us, great source of protein for anyone that doesn't eat meat.

Never gave it too Logan before. It's very expensive over here.

Full of omega 3 so can't go wrong.

I've just looked through ingredients in Lola's arden grange. It contains linseed which is basically another name for flaxseed. Not sure whether adding flaxseed to her food would be anymore beneficial. Best to have a check

I've started having it the past few weeks to possibly help my skin. Didnt know whether or not it was OK for dogs, but apparently so

When I used to train, I used to supplement with linseed capsules. It's good for the bones aswell as helps with recovery, so yeah pretty good ingredient for dogs I say.

I have it in soups & thing, I don't eat red meat and only a limited amount if white meat. It's brill for hair, skin & nails. I may add some to darcy's diet

Ah, thanks for all the replies! Sounds like i might add it to her regular diet from now on then! Does a teaspoon a day sound like a good dose?
