Re: Crufts More4
We're watching it at the moment, I've got to admit, I think they could have chosen a better Stafford, but it's damn good to see them on the shortlist, and to get the reserve!

Re: Crufts More4
I think the mini was better, but then again I'm not a massive English Bull fan, unless it's the tri colour one just up the road

Re: Crufts More4
I didn't stay for the group judging , but I watched the staff get 3rd in group on More4! What a beauty!
The EBT was ok, but not one of my favourites! I was cheering on the one that won the Limit Class (an acquaintance!) Ragnarok Balder at Polanca (Harvey).

No, not really. The Best in Show judges for Crufts are 'all-rounders' who have rarely had any experience of owning/breeding staffs or bullies. You'll get them do well, sometimes, in the groups, but I can't see them winning BIS!!

But it's really good to see a staff get 3rd Best in Group - that's one huge achievement!

Re: Crufts More4
They should move with power & drive - that's the most important thing. Then theire legs from behind should move parallel from the hock to the floor (difficult to acheive as a dog tends to move its legs closer together as it speeds up) and the legs from the front should be straight. Does that make sense?
In practise, most staffs (even the good ones) don't always have the best of movement.

I think it makes sense yes, thanks, do they get marked down for not walking well?

Re: Crufts More4
They do, but most judges will bear in mind that the construction of a staff gives it a particular kind of movement!
