How much chocolate is dangerous?
I've just found out that around an hour ago Lola managed to get a stray mini egg (the tiny cadburys ones) she doesn't seem any different, and compared to some of the things she's eaten in the past I'm not overly concerned, just wondered if I should be watching for anything or need to panic!

Re: How much chocolate is dangerous?
I overheard a conversation at the vets once, someones dog had eaten a whole box of cadburys chok fingers and they were worried about the consequences, she said it would take a lot LOT more than a box to do any damage so i think youll be safe with a mini egg

It is best avoided but that amount won't do her any harm.
These things happen, I remember Logan got a hold of a bunch of grapes once

Pretty sure there's a little bit on this on the website. One moment - I'll try to find it.

A mini egg would probably do no harm, but the limits are different for each individual dog.

Another one that's difficult to predict. For some dogs a large bunch of grapes would be ok, but for others one single grape or raisin/sultana would cause kidney failure.
Better to be safe & not give either chocolate or grape products.

Re: How much chocolate is dangerous?
a square of really dark chocolate can be as bad as a 200grm bar of milk chocalate so its not just down to amounts .
but a single mini egg is very unlikely to couse problems
