Hiya I have a 6 year old male staffie within the last couple of weeks he has started shedding hair on his ears and nose does anyone know what the cause of this is.. He isn't itching it or anything it hasn't affected him at all, I'm just concerned why this is happening

demodex usualy starts on the face but it would be unusual to start at that age if he's never had it before, if your worried I would get the vet to check it out.

It could be to do with mites as Sazzle says or possible seasonal alopecia or even to do with a reaction with an allergy. Does he scratch the areas?

Def worth a trip to the vets in my opinion to be sure. They can do a skin scrape if possible to really get a good idea.

Naw he's never had any problems health wise before .. He got the implant a few weeks ago do think this could b something to do with it?. I've been reading up on it but there doesn't seem to be any side effects reported

No scratching at all the skin isn't inflamed or affected its just the shedding of fur
