Itchy dry skin
My dog has really dry skin, thanks to dry Canadian weather, and he will be scratching alot, I was wondering if there is anyway to help this?

Not sure how your climate effects things, if its just sore I use a cream to sooth any irritation, if its more severe I would have it checked out.

Hi, my 8month old always had dry skin, it recently got more so, and she developed hair loss and sore areas, had it checked out, and the poor mite had demodetic mange! Please get yours checked, as Staffies are very prone to this.

Re: Itchy dry skin
If it's really very dry (dry enough to cause irritation & scratching) I'd get her checked out by the vet.
If it's just the odd patch you could try adding some cod liver oil to her food a couple of times a week, or even rubbing some olive oil into her skin a couple of times a week (very messy, but can give good results).
