1st walks done
So, this morning we went for a nice 30 min walk and covered a total distance of 200 yards. I expected this and she led me back to the house which I thought was cool. Then this afternoon we went to the park where she had a run on the long lead which she loved. I think having her playmate (my daughter) helped her settle and she had a great time. She came face to face with a shihztu and didn't even bother. She had a sniff turned round and walked away. All in all, a good first day out and about and lookin forward to tomorrow.

Yes pics will be on their way. Can I just ask... What sort of distance is good for them at this age?

Re: 1st walks done
The rule is 5mins of on lead walk per month of age so 15 mins on lead would be long enough for lola

You can mix it up though with some free play at a park etc. or some training

Re: 1st walks done
Just an update from this morning. Lola is constantly stop start when leaving the house. She'll walk fine and then parks her back side and won't budge for a little while. We then get to a certain point so we round to go back home. When doin this she doesn't stop all the way. Tail wagging and wantin to get a move on.

Re: 1st walks done
It can be all a little overwhelming for them at first, it may seem like she doesn't want to go but soon it will become her favorite part of the day You could try using treats to make her walk. Whenever she stops hold a treat just out of her reach and make her walk forward

Aww this was what my little Zeke was like on his first walk, he loves making new friends.
He adores the beach, I can't believe how well he is doing for only 12 weeks old!
Your Lola is a cutie!
