New staffy owner, I'm curious!

I'm a new staffy owner and my staffy Harlem is about 8months old. His dad is a real short staffie and mom is like double in size. Right now he looks abit leggy and his head is real small. I was wondering when is he going fill out into the beautiful dog that I've came to love??? Please and Thank you.

At that age they are really only starting to fill out. Logan, my dog, is 15 months and has only started to fill out in the last couple of months. As pups they are very leggy at times. Some are more so than others, but at 8 months he still has a lot of growing to do

Welcome from us and Suki. In general they grow in height the first year and will look leggy and fill out the next two years

There all different, Moo is 4 and I still notice her muscle tone developing

he is still very young so will grow in spits and spurts. at times he will look leggy, big body and small head then next it will be other way round. He has plenty of growing to do yet so dont worry

If the dame is double size of the sire then it doesn't sound like she is of Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed standard. Kennel Club standard has a desirable height of between 14-16 inches. Sounds like you'll end up with a big powerful dog but it's no problem unless you plan on showing him.

that age hes gonna tread water growth wise for a lil bit and start muscling instead. you may not see much body growth for a few months, even a little weight loss and then a massive growth spurt followed by more muscling up. at two to two and half expect the growth to end and then filling out to three years. of course thats not concreate but generally its the way
