Our AmStaff palys with a French Bulldog all the time. It really depends on the dog. See if the breeder will allow the dogs to meet to see how well they get along.

Re: not yet a staffy owner
i always say .. aslong as the 2 dogs are of good temperament and socialised well etc, you can mix any breeds with a staffy .. ive seen so many with smaller dogs like chihuahua's, yorkies, westies, JRT and then so many with larger breeds rotties, danes etc etc.
As long as your FB has a good temperament i.e good with other dogs etc 99.9% of the time it will work aslong as you are willing to put in the time to train them etc .
I know people it hasnt worked with but i know so many more people it has worked with, it worked for me and has worked for so many others on here too

Re: not yet a staffy owner
If your pup is socialized and properly introduced it shouldn't be a problem. My brother has 2 Jack Russels, a Boston terrier and a frenchie (all male) and we introduced Maska (also male) without a hassle. It also depends on the temperament of the French bulldog, but pups are generally more submissive when meeting older dogs, allowing for better introductions.

Hi & welcome.
I can echo everything that's been said before. If they're introduced properly there shouldn't be a problem.

that would be great but the staffy im getting does not live in the city, the breeder is a 18hour drive from where i live. im meeting her next month to meet the parents. im so excited.... some breeders are so funny and sometimes mean. the women i met i just connected with. im going to start taking my frenchie to daycare, because we have to much time together, im lucky i work from home but that also means she's never been away from me.

thanks for getting back to me, my Frenchie is a bit of a * dog (can i write that here?) anyhow I have been doing dog rescue for the last 4months and so she is getting better at socializing. She will be 6 this year so she's a bit older and seems to not care about anyone but me. I have a roomate (u guys say flatmate) that has 2 dogs, it took about 3 weeks for her to ignore them. Im getting more confident about the decision and have decided to put my staffy in agility and day care (we can't have them off leash here (vancouver, canada) so as i always say a tired dog is a happy dog. Also i will put him in day care so he will be less dependent on me. my frenchie and i have been together 24/7 for 5 years and she doesnt know how to socialize other dogs.
