New Staffy owner
Hi everyone,
I picked up my princess Ellie this morning, she is 4 months old & beautiful. This is my 2nd Staffy my first was poisoned she had just turned 1 & I still cry over losing her, but I found Ellie & I'm so happy, excited, nervous & I love her so much already. Not sure if I'm over reacting but Ellie is fat she has this bulging belly, also drinking lots of water & what she's letting go of in the smell department is bringing tears to my eyes for such a small beautiful dog I'm running out of air fresher. Can anyone please advise?? Cassie

Hi & Welcome to the Forum from Flo and me
Exciting times Cassie. Can't wait to see some pics of Ellie. I'm no puppy expert so probably not really qualified to reply but has she done a number 2 ? Mght be the cause of the wind if she hasn't. If your really concerned pop her to the vets even if it's just to put your mind at rest

Re: New Staffy owner
Thank you so much everyone for your advice, the wind problems are still there but not as bad as last nite thank goodness. I'm feeding Elle cooked mince with pasta for tea and sardines for breakfast. First walk on lead and chasings in the park exploring new home, back garden, front garden, kids next door Elle was very tired, took most of bed and watched her sleep I know that sounds corny, but I'm so happy and excited. Walk again this morning and now it's nap time and yes I'm watching her. Will post some photos soon, have close to 50 to choose from. Thank you again

Re: New Staffy owner
Where did you find her? Is she rescue? What is her background? Has she had much exercise or varying diets and so on? I can't wait to see pictures. I am very sorry about your loss. It must have been awful.

Re: New Staffy owner
Hi from us too!
Puppies can be very smelly things at times - my Millie's getting better but she can still empty a room in 5 seconds! You might want to have a delve into the information on diet and nutrition that lurking in this board. There are 2 areas:
https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/f29-staffordshire-bull-terrier-diet-nutrition
and
https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/f125-staffordshire-bull-terrier-raw-food-diets
Whether you feed dry or raw is personal preference but I'd stick to one of those and not feed cooked meat and tinned fish. Raw meat and raw fish are fine. Also, you're better starting with lighter meats instead of beef. But have a mosey round those areas of the forum, they're a treasure chest of information!

Hello and welcome from me and Pixee. So sorry to hear your first staffy was poisoned. Did you find out who? And welcome to exciting times with Ellie . Staffies are known to empty the rooms . However as said in posts, it can be the food or not having a number 2. Cant wait to see picutres.
