shocked at size of neck
Well, I woke up this morning to find that Brutus had destroyed his collar. Obviously his two hours of exercise isn't enough. Anyhow, I was looking on the ezy-dog website to buy him a new collar. I measured him to see his size and realised his neck is 45cm. He's only 8 months!!
That got me wondering, how big was your staffies neck at 8 months?

I have no idea sorry, I never measured Taz's neck. I just took him in the pet shop when he needed a collar and got the one that fit

Sorry I wouldn't have a clue how big Rockys neck was then, we adopted him from a rescue centre when he was about 12 months old.

Sorry he is 9 months.
Not sure if I will get a collar that fits him if he keeps growing at this rate.

Re: shocked at size of neck
Weight wise yes. He's 16.5kgs and has been around the 16-16.5 for the last month. I have noticed he is filling out more in the chest and head now though, whilst his butt and midrift is staying put.

Re: shocked at size of neck
Not sure about puppy size but Ella is just over 2 and a half so i think pretty much fully grown and she is 43 cm (almost 17 inch) and she is slightly over weight, however a male dog of the same age could easily get over 50cm so i think your pooch is just gonna be a big un

Re: shocked at size of neck
Sounds about right.
Tank is 19kg and 18inch neck which is about 45cm. He turned 1 yesterday.
Tank is pretty compact with no fat, very lean but great muscle tone - I only wish I had a waist like his lol,
Your Brutus sounds great, nice n stocky xx

Re: shocked at size of neck
When we got Zeus's old leather collar around 4/5 months ago, he was around 17inches/43cm. I literally just purchased the Ezydog normal collar for him last night, went to measure his neck and its gone up to 19inch/48.2cm, hes now a year old.

Re: shocked at size of neck
Logan wears a size large extra wide Ezydog collar and it's about 80% of his size. He is getting slimmer atm because he is able to do more exercise now that he's older and the weather is better.

We just bought him an ezydog collar too. Was gobsmacked when I saw the size of his neck and measured it again. Im wondering how how big he will get now.

Re: shocked at size of neck
Have just measured Elmo's neck and at 7 months, his is just under 15.5 inches so about 39cms. He was weighed last month when he was six months and was almost 12kg, measuring just under 15" at the withers. He's been putting on about 2kgs a month so I'm guessing he'll be about 14kgs now, he's due for a weigh in!
His dad is 15", weighs about 18kgs and has a neck measurement of 18", his mum 14" and 16kgs so don't expect him to get much bigger than his dad.
