Hi all, can you help sukie is 9 months old we feed her a dry food diet.at the moment she is being fed fish for dogs which was fine at first now she will only eat it if it's mixed in with some wet food like sardines and tinned dog food and even then she throws the kibble on the floor to get at the meat.dont think I want to try a raw diet so can anyone recommend a good dry food .thanks.

Re: Advice please
I give Bacchus Orijen Puppy which appears at first glance to be very expensive but it is high quality and less is required. Bacchus is now 18 kilos and he only gets around 270 grams a day which works out at about £1.50 a day.

Re: Advice please
One of the foods from the link provided would be great. They can be picky eaters sometimes. If so leave the food down for 10 minutes and pick it up until the next scheduled meal. They won't let themselves starve and if you cut out the treats as well they will eat normally again.

Re: Advice please
Any dry food that has meat as its first named ingredient and has no grains is best. As to which one of those, it's a bit trial & error! I've recently taken Dempsey off of raw feeding (long story, and I hope that one day he may be able to go back to it) and the food I've settled on is Latham's Lamb & Rice, Large Dog recipe. But he also has beef in with it to make it more palatable. I microwave the beef until it's just cooked & then pour the meat juices over the whole lot.
Dempsey devours it in a couple of minutes, but he's a greedy guts anyway!

Re: Advice please
I can recommend Barking Heads which is on the recommended list of foods, we just add a little bit of cooked cooled chicken to it and Rocky gobbles it all up. He weighs about 17 kg and has about 150g - 170 g of kibble per day.
