Oh God this is terrible. Poor Norm. I can't find the words ....

Hayley - this is a terribly upsetting story and picture, but it needs to be told. If it saves ONE poor dog from being a bait dog it will be worth it.

I'm in tears -

I know it may sound awful but i would rather have my dog die before i would let a stranger take her. I would only trust ONE person with lexi and if she couldn't take her i would want her to be pts. Absolutely nothing gets me more angry than free to good home.

There is a full litter of rottweiler pups on a well known website free to a good home over here, does the owner actually think they will go to good homes?

Should be stopped.

Anyone willing to give a "good home" will rescue of buy from a caring breeder, nothing good comes for free!

broken heart Poor baby... Why do people give their dogs away "free to good home"? They rarely get a "good home"... Personally I could never give my dog away, for any reason.. For me I am just as likely to give Steff away as I am my son, It just is NOT an option.. But if anyone ever "has" to give away their dog, take it to a shelter, even being pts is better than this outcome..

That above picture will be hard to get out of my mind Sad

Actually, I don't think this is true. Not the Gumtree part anyway. He was found in St. Louis, Missouri. Still, has a good ending Smile:

And apparently he's been adopted recently, so that's good.

Why do people feel the need to lie about these things?

I know it might just as well have been gumtree, but why put it when it isn't?

Anyway, glad he's got a good forever home now.

I just read through Normms story, he had one hell of a will to live that little dog. He is in America and not England as it may appear to be. I dont know how he kept alive in the severe heat of the day, he was found in an overgrown bush where he had crawled to die, luckily he was found and saved and looks like a completely different dog today. Thanks to the help he received that awful day he is now owned by a guy called Randy Grim.

Thank you Tara for your detective work. It's good to see Norm looking happy in his new home and in good health. I can't help but mourn the loss of his leg though ....

This is absolutely terrible. Poor little fella. It's disgusting to know that there's people out there who do this to such loving animals and not see anything wrong with it. I always try to avoid looking at staffie posts on most sites as it's just heart breaking to see all those pages full of unwanted dogs which most likely will end up like norm, if not worse. It makes me sick enough seeing the sheer amount of staffies and staffie crosses in dogs homes these days too, there's definitely 70% (if not more) staffs/staff crosses in rescue kennels these days which I thinks damn right disgusting; let alone people giving them away for free.
