Somebody tried to rearrange their enclosure a while ago, and stupidly placed a branch close to the wall. One hour later, there were two meerkats wandering around the place.

That's Steve. It's an odd tradition that the biggest or most aggressive animal of each species is called Steve. Steve the grumpy boa, Steve the goat, Steve the meerkat, Steve the Flemish Giant rabbit, etc.

There's also another meerkat called Alan, and yet another called Dave. Guess where we got that from!

Aaawww I love meerkats when my dad worked in a safari park a few years ago, I'd always watch the meerkats playing with each other, they're so funny

Yeah, they're so playful! We often stuff old burlap sacks with hay and hide fruit/veg in there for them to find. They go mad over it! It's funny to watch them seek out little holes to dig inside.
