When we got Dylan he settled in really well but we noticed he has started lunging at our faces with his teeth bared. he doesnt bite just sort of hits our faces with his nose. We have thought about it and cant decide whats causing it. I dont want him getting violent with us as he is great all of the other time. Its just weird why he does this.

Bandit used to do the same - never connected, just a sort of half head butt with his mouth open! It's play/seeking attention, but if you're not comfortable with it, treat it as you would ordinary puppy nipping - "No" and turn away, stop all interraction. He'll get the message.

Agree with Caryll. Does this happen only when you are on the floor or everywhere?

it happens every where when were stood or sat down. He will snap at Wendy if she is sat on the couch and she turns her head round to talk to Dylan who is sat next to her. He doesn't do it all the time though Smile

Caryll is right with the attention seeking. Logan does it too sometimes when he's over excited. If it connects as a head butt it can be very sore feeling beat up

I just correct him the way I do when he would mouth etc.

Axl does this when he's over excited, he's just over a year old so he's still quite young and its always when we stop playing with him, I think he's just trying to say "hey, play with meeeee". I usually just tell him "no" and sometimes he'll try it again or if he's feeling brave he'll lunge towards my hand but he never connects he's usually miles away when he does it lol!
