Puppy class tonight.
Alfie had his first puppy class tonight and had the time of his life. 10 other pups in the class so lots to keep him happy. He is now flaked out on his cushion and the wife and I have home work to do before next week

Its good stuff to know that's for sure. There are a few things we were told that I don't agree with but that's life.
Re: Puppy class tonight.
Well done Alfie. Added bonus.....they are usually exhausted afterwards.
Ours restarts end of Feb. Can't wait.

Re: Puppy class tonight.
One of the things that came up while talking to the training lady was how the bread and the type of person that own the bread. Looks like I amd going to be really stuffed as she told me I look like the stereotypical staffy owner.
Well looks like Its down to me to change that God i hate being picked on.

Re: Puppy class tonight.
But it is a shame that people stereotype. From people that I have met it only shows that they are multi purpose dogs! Thats the amazing thing about them

Re: Puppy class tonight.
The main thing I did not agree with is that we were told that we MUST! let our dogs off the lead in a park or field, I said I would be happier to have Alfie on a long lead and have 100% control than take the risk of him being attacked by another dog while he is to far away for me to get to. At least if he is on a long lead I can get to him quicker. Where we live (in the sticks) there are a lot of cattle farms and only really 2 fields that you would be able to let your dog off the lead and I have known at least 3 dogs that have either been attacked by another dog or slipped through the fence and onto the main road. I am sure each of you will have your own views on this but we have a 200x 150 yard back garden where he can run around without problems.rebeccaleanne wrote:wimpy wrote:One of the things that came up while talking to the training lady was how the bread and the type of person that own the bread. Unfortunately, I look like the stereotypical Stafford owner. I actually find that people are a lot nicer towards Logan when I'm wearing my office/work clothes so I can sorta see what the training lady means by that.

Puppy Class week 2.
Week 2 was good with positive praise from the trainer. Few more bits to work on this week so onwards and upwards.
