Eating Cat Poop
Any one have any ideas as to why my 8 mth old Pitbull is eating my cat's poop? Soft or dry she eats it. I've searched some reasons on Google and the only one that I can think off is... she may think it's wet dog food. My husband and I have noticed it's also when we don't feed her wet dog food, is when she eats the cat's poop. Other reasons that we have found are: b/c of being locked in kennel, not enough attention, motherly instincts, observing us pick up her own poop. She's loose in the home, always has attention (she's spoiled), she's not a mother, she rarley poops in house & if so she's in the other room when we clean it up. Does any one know if the poop pills work, if so how and which ones are the best? Thanks in advance.

some dogs do this and i guess its not very pleasant. The best thing you can do is clean up after the cat as soon as possible so your dog cant eat any. I dont know much about the pills though

Never heard of a pill either. Cleaning up quickly or placing the litterbox where she can't get to it are the best options. You could also feed the cat some pineapple which will make the feces taste bad to your dog

Good luck with the pineapple We have 3 cats and no way will they eat pineapple. We just make a point of getting to the litter tray before the dog. Occasionally he beats us to it and sees it as a little treat. I've heard it is to do with the high protein content in cat food which makes it so attractive to them. Apparently feeding wet cat food ( we feed dried) makes it even tastier.
Am hoping he grows out of it, meanwhile will be worming regularly.
