Poop!
Gabbi is 3 1/2 months and on James Wellbeloved complete puppy kibble - food is split 1/3 @ 08.30ish , 1/3 @ 12.30ish and 1/3 @ 16.30ish (following the recommended amount)
She normally poo's straight after breakfast, 2 or 3 nice firm chunky ones (may as well be graphic as we are talking 'poop' afterall)
However, for the rest of the day her poo's get more runny as we go on - she will normally go afternoon say 2ish, evening say 7ish - this is normally the loosest, then overnight (I put her out around 2am).
Is there a logical reason for this?
Is it just the fact that she drinks a lot of water during the day?? The reason I say this is that she drinks water from getting up at 08.30 to when I take it up at 20.30 - the 'looseness' of the poo, directly follows how much water she has drunk!
Advice/assurance please.
PS. worming up-to-date, plenty of energy, vet check 2 weeks ago went well.

Re: Poop!
I know alot of people who feed dry food have said the same thing, I don't know why. I feed raw personally and my two go once a day MAYBE twice if they have had a really big meal!

Re: Poop!
Hmm, mine go a couple times a day and every once in a while it is like this for me as well. I have always assumed it has to do with them eating something outside they shouldn't (plants, wood... bugs). I feed raw.

Re: Poop!
Does she have anything else to eat during the day, treats or chew sticks etc ?
Rocky is also on James Wellbeloved but the adult version, he does have chew sticks during the day as a treat a max of 2, by chew sticks I mean the hide twists, and I think these do loosen the stool a little.

Re: Poop!
Don't forget that overnight the body has more time to absorb any water in the digestive system, so the first poop of the day is often firmer than the rest.
If the other poops aren't actually runny (ie just softer than the 1st) I wouldn't worry.

I wouldn't worry too much. It could also be from treats or something they eat outside

Re: Poop!
Thats good Bella is the same, firmer poop in the morning and softer later on. She get dry food with the odd treat. As long as its not runny I don't worry about it
