Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
I was searching Youtube and came across this video. This guy claims the dogs are he's which he's owned over the last 30 years, although he seems to support gamebred and, this dog is also in the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBy-HVJDiSM&feature=plcp.

All i want to say is he's a gorgeous looking dog i love the look of conditioned dogs

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
Ella genuinely curious, do you really think that is a healthy looking dog? He looks a bit too lean to me. I like a dog to be in good shape with good muscle tone, but he looks too ripped and skinny - not the way I would want my dog to look, that's for sure.

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
Yes i do, i much prefer to see a conditioned dog, ok to a point, but yes i like to see a very lean dog and visible ribs is part of that
Guest- Guest
Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
I've no problem with visible ribs, but I don't like a 'ripped' dog. It isn't natural - a bit like a body builder, totally false.
Guest- Guest
Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
I suppose it depends on how 'ripped' a dog is alot of dogs are gorgeous when 'ripped' without being ridiculous like the dog here!

Fair enough, everyone has different tastes, was just curious

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
No worries i think with this thing it's very much down to personal taste
Guest- Guest
Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
I think part of it is that the dog seems to be straining which makes the muscle tone more pronounced.
Guest- Guest
Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
I really do not like the ripped look in a dog it just doesn't look right in my eyes and definitely not natural, but hey each one to their own

This is how i like to see a dog 'ripped' or whatever you want to call it

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
personally I don't like it , it shows a lot of effort and credit to the owner but not my cup of tea

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
If you look at one of Denise's dogs to me that is perfect form and I would hope for no further than that

It's your right Ella , nothing inhumane about it , I just don't believe (personally) that dogs were bred to look like that

They are certainly gorgeous looking dogs but for ME they are carrying to much weight for my liking, but i'm not saying they are overweight by any means

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
when romeo stresses his body he looks alot like that. he's just naturally ripped to a point, i dont condition him at all, but he is not quiet as impressive as the pictured ones

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
When I was on hol not long back there was a guy with a lovely lookin EBT with a chain like that and a studded collar .. what a plank
I love the standard Bully, but after that, the XL, XXL, etc etc are just not right IMO
This is how a Bully should look ... one of my fave dogs around this lad

Re: MY AMERICAN PITBULL TERRIER MEGGIE
For me, and sorry if I offend anyone , it makes a statement whis is "my owner wants to look tough which means my owner is an *****" Not so much the build of the dog as the dress code , though I personally don't like the ripped look , I absolutely detest the stupid accessories

Pleased about that , don't want to seem opinionated but it is EXACTLY this kind of picture that has helped bring about the troubles our kids have these days

Got to admit I like the look of this dog! Maybe a little too 'defined' but really nice looking dog nonetheless!

... see, now this dog dosent look that healthy to me in that pic .. and I too like a lean dog, but they have to have a good healthy coat, and look full of beans and life ... like the blue n' white bully I posted in this thread (who's development I've followed for some time now, and beleive it or not, most of his shape/muscle is just good ginetics .. not hours on a mill or dehidration )

OK this is where I am with this picture. I walk Molly on a black extentable lead and she wears a pink and white collar. I regularily pass muppets with their 'pits' and they have the hard man accessories on, chain lead and spiked collar etc. I am an ex (not very successful) boxer and am currently studying thai boxing as part of my mid life crisis!! See a pattern here?
