How to stop her Biting the couch

Honey used to bite us and we have been using the "yelp" then ignore strategy and it was working but her new trick is to try and bite us and if this does not work then she will run and bite the couch. At first we ignored in the hope that this would stop her "perceived" attention seeking behaviour would stop if we ignored both her and the behaviour. Sadly it seems to be getting worse.


We then tried "no" and a growl as we were told this is what a mother dog would do to let her pup know what they were doing was not right. If it continued a light tap on her shoulder should stop it. But this makes her more full on barking, jumping up biting the couch harder or us........ Help! I don't know what to do. Would ignoring her and removing ourselves from the situation or her work? Anyone got any ideas or been through anything similar ?

Bitter apple spray or vicks applied to the places you don't want to chew will stop her from doing so.

Unless you have a strange dog like me and she licks the bitter apple spray.
Mind you while he is licking he isn't chewing
