Advice please
I was sat on the sofa and trying to move Woody into a comfier spot and I must of hurt him somehow because he yelped, i got up checked him and he seemed fine. Then we just went for a walk but I found he wouldn't sit at the side on the rode to cross like he usually does and wouldn't even do it for a treat. We came back and he still won't sit properly and I think hes hurt his left back leg as when I try to bend it like it would when hes sitting he yelps. Does anyone know it might be or do you just think he might have twisted it or something? I feel terrible that I hurt him and if hes not improved tomorrow we might take a trip to the vets

Re: Advice please
Sounds like he might have twisted it.
Give him a couple of days lead walking & no high impact exercise, then see if it's better!

Hard to tell at the moment isn't it, he may have just twisted it.
See how he is tomorrow after a night's rest - and do let us know how Woody gets on. Good Luck ><

Re: Advice please
Sympathies as when Tilly was a pup she got hurt on a back leg (still don't know how as she was fine 1 minute and before my eyes she wasn't any more) took her to emergency vet (Sunday) and it went on for 2 weeks and we never really got a conclusion , only an expensive vet bill

Re: Advice please
when romeo had a sore back left leg we went to the vets and then he came back with double knee surgery.... but i doubt thats you cause romeo's is genetic.
if you can locate the spot it hurts like at the hip or knee maybe a cold press for 20min might help

*Update*
Okay so on Tuesday the day after the incident he was limping a little and would still not sit down comfortably, Wednesday limp was gone but still wouldn't sit down, then on Thursday, Friday and Sat hes been fine which makes me think that his muscles healed, but he hasn't been out at all since Monday night just to be safe.
I was thinking of taking him out for a short lead walk on Monday so you think that's enough time for it too heal? Or should I wait a bit longer?
He also had a crazy moment today and he did zoomies and he seemed fine then

Re: Advice please
Great and yes, take him out but just build up the exercise gradually. Back to norm after about a 9/12 days, and just build it up as you go, restrict sudden jolts for a bit Xx

Re: Advice please
Just try some short walks on grass or a soft surface if possible, then as Janey says above gradually build up the length of walk again.
