New here need a little advice Empty New here need a little advice

Post by Crutchlow79 Fri Oct 25 2013, 10:56

Hi there everyone. I have had my little nel since she was 8 weeks old. She is now 20 weeks and she is extremely tall. The vet has assure me that she is a staffy and that there are different types of breed and she is the most loving playful pup I have ever had. When I went to pick her I met her mum and dad and dad was short and stocky and mum was a little long in the leg but I was assured she was not a x breed. I love nel no matter what she is but I was just after a little advice because if she is a cross breed I need to find out what the x part is.

Hi there, does nel have papers? Because without kc papers you'll never truly know if she's crossed with anything, don't worry at all about her shape and size at the moment because in the first couple of years the go through some strange growth periods Laughing all legs and ears at times, could you post a pic? So we can see your girl Smile

Perhaps you could come say hi :- https://staffy-bull-terrier.niceboard.com/f7-new-member-introductions

I love her know matter what she is. She is a total mad head at present but walks well on the lead and had learned some basic instructions quite quickly

She is a beauty but not wanting to speak out of turn if Dad was a resue dog then the mating should never have happened in the first place ( assuming it was a legit rescue ) as unless the dad was too young when he left rescue to be neutered he should have been done , if he went without then the owners would be required to do this and are massively irresponsible moneymakers

That aside she has her home with you now and enjoy her however she turns out , even if she is only 1% staffy that is enough to learn and love the breed Big Grin

I too thought all resuce dogs had to be done. Pixee was. And like Dave says if he was too young, then they have to be done sometime...........however she is so pretty looking, those eyes of hers Love Struck

To tell you the truth I don't mind if she is a cross breed I love her and she seems to love me lol. Just wanted the advice as I know if she is a x breed with another dog she may have to be muzzled when she goes out (although all she will do is lick someone to death)

Why muzzle her? She is still very young and it may give the impression that she is nasty. Personally I wouldnt unless there is a clear problem. Big Grin

Yeah sorry about that I mean I would only muzzle her if it turned out she was crossed with a breed that was in the "dangerous dog" brackett. As I say nel will lick someone to death she is as daft as a brush and just a joy to have I honestly think I did not explain myself properly
